Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today denounced another three agreements concluded on the platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Thus, the lawmakers denounced the agreement on cooperation in the labour protection sector, agreement on the support and development of small entrepreneurship with the CIS member states and the agreement on the promotion of the harmonized policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification.
The parliament also voted for the denunciation of the agreement on the promotion of the harmonized policy in the sector of standardization, metrology and certification, signed in Moscow on 13 March 1992 and of the protocol on the introduction of completions and amendments to the agreement on the promotion of the harmonized policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification, signed in Moscow on 20 June 2000.
Moldova cooperates with the CIS states on complementary platforms, such as the agreement on the free trade area within CIS, which provides for the collaboration of the member states in the concerned sector within the Euro-Asian Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (EASC). In its capacity of full-fledged member of EASC, Moldova annually pays dues worth 14,000 dollars in the Fund of the Euro-Asian Standardization Council, although the country’s cooperation within EASC is modest.
