Ministry of Finance: Payment commitments for seven months fully funded

Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Finance has announced the financing of all payment commitments as of July 31.

"All the payment documents presented to the Treasury were fully financed", the institution stated. Thus expenditures of 43 billion lei (2.15 billion euros) were made from the state budget, which is 53.7% of the budget.

Of this money, 823 million lei were transferred from the Road Fund as subsidies to the State Road Administration, and another 11.7 billion lei were transfers to local budgets.

At the same time, 889.4 million lei were allocated for subsidizing farmers, and 715 million lei for capital investments. For economic agents, in order to process VAT and excise duty refunds, the Ministry of Finance transferred 2.823 billion lei.

Transfers were made to the state social insurance budget in the amount of 10.541 billion, including to cover the deficit - 4.085 billion lei, from the account of the collection of taxes and fees to the state budget.

The Ministry of Finance said that the expenses were covered from internal sources (taxes and charges), as well as from sources borrowed from the internal market and grants.
