ANSA: One more step towards ensuring export of apples to Indian market

Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- Facilitating the export of Moldovan apples to the Indian market, including the approval of phytosanitary requirements for finalizing the procedure for approving imports of this product, in accordance with Indian legislation, was one of the main issues discussed by director general of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) Radu Musteata, on a working visit to India, as part of a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry.
The delegation tends to attract the interest of the Indian business environment, to establish partnerships with our producers, to invest in the activities of fruit and vegetable processing in the Republic of Moldova.
Musteata spoke about the efforts made by economic agents from our country to access the Indian market with Moldovan apples, including ensuring the regime for transporting the product over such long distances.
The sides agreed on the next steps for the launch of the final exports.
The first stage of dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and India took place on July 4, in online format. As a result, the countries have established the ways of carrying out the deliveries of apples between the partners.
