IGSU: Over 2,600 slate sheets from Material Reserve Agency stocks arrived in Edineț

Chisinau, Aug. 1 /MOLDPRES/- The last days, IGSU employees jointly with those of the General Carabineer Inspectorate, the Border Police, the General Police Inspectorate and the Ministry of Defense transported and distributed construction materials in the districts affected by the bad weather.

According to the IGSU, material goods are released from the stocks of the Material Reserve Agency under the Ministry of the Interior, at the direction of the Government. Thus, on July 28 and July 29, eight special vehicles of the IGSU and nine special vehicles of the Ministry of Defense, escorted by three crews of the IGP, arrived in Edineț district.

"Until now, 2,675 slate sheets and 85 m3 of timber have been transported to towns in the Edineț district. Employees of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense delivered material goods to the homes of people following the torrential rains and strong wind. Today a batch of construction materials also arrived in Sărata-Galbenă commune, Hâncești district, as well as in Râșcani", the IGSU press release reads.

The batches are to be transported to help other districts affected by the bad weather recorded on the territory of the country during July 25-26.
