DOC: More Moldovans to benefit from social housing

Chisinau, 2 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law to amend Law No75/2015 on housing were published in today's issue of the Official Journal and entered into force.

According to the amendments to the legislation, besides providing social housing to the vulnerable, the action of the law will also extend to families in which at least one of the members is an employee of a state institution or works in the public services. At the same time, the concept of "minimum of existence" will be replaced by that of "minimum salary per country", as one of the eligibility criteria.

At the same time, the published document also contains some recommendations of the Court of Accounts, which carried out a compliance audit on the implementation of the housing construction project for the socially vulnerable strata in previous years. 

The government, within six months from the date of entry into force of this law, will bring its normative acts in line with this law.
