ANRE: Stock market quotations cause fuel prices to rise, especially diesel

Chisinau, 2 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) continues to witness an increasingly pronounced increase in the value of Platts quotes, a trend supported by the high level of demand for petroleum products globally. So, tomorrow diesel will be by 0.25 lei per liter more expensive.

Thus, just in the last three days, the Platts quote for diesel fuel increased by more than $50/ton, which represents an increase of about 6% compared to its value at the end of last week. In broader terms of reference, since the beginning of July, the price of diesel on international exchanges has increased by about 28%, and that of petrol by about 19%.

At the same time, the price of Brent crude oil has reached over $85/barrel in recent days, or over 15% more than the level of a month ago.

For tomorrow, ANRE has set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 25.72 lei per liter, an increase of 0.11 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold at a maximum of 21.90 lei per liter, up by 0.25 lei.
