Additional funding of 25 million lei for vocational schools, colleges and centers of excellence

Chisinau, 4 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) will provide additional funding of over 25 million lei (1.25 million euros) for infrastructure projects in professional schools, colleges and centers of excellence.

Funding will be granted based on project proposals submitted by the institutions. Institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Research can submit files for financing current and capital expenses until August 25, 2023. Institutions can request financing for the procurement of goods and services, including capital and current repairs, cartography and cadastre works and other expenses.

For 2023, over 11.4 million lei will be allocated for secondary technical vocational education institutions and over 13.6 million lei for post-secondary technical vocational education institutions.

When distributing financial resources for complementary financing, the number of students in the institution and the degree of use of the buildings are taken into account. Another condition is that at least 85% of the admission plan for the current year of studies with budget funding is completed.
