People's Assembly of Gagauzia failed to approve structure and composition of executive proposed by governor Guţul

Chisinau, 4 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- At today's meeting, members of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia (APG) did not manage to consider the nominal composition of the executive committee of the autonomy, proposed last week by governor Evghenia Guţul.

The reason was "the governor committed an error in the formation of the executive structure, including the heads of Comrat, Ceadâr-Lunga and Vulcăneşti districts, while the administrations of the districts needed to be registered".

"What will happen next will be decided by the People's Assembly. I don't know how the deputies will vote, that's all for today", APG speaker Dmitri Constantinov said.

If the executive of the region will not be approved in two attempts, then the governor has the right to dissolve the legislative forum of the autonomy. According to the proposed list, the governor will have three vice-governors - Victor Petrov, Mihail Vlah and Pavel Verejanu. The head of the bashkan team will be Iuri Cuzneţov. Some of the members of the Comrat executive remained in office. The list of executive members was submitted for approval to the People's Assembly of Gagauzia. The appointment of the new executive is provided for by law, after the elections of the governor were held in autonomy.

Throughout the meeting, until almost 2:00 p.m., in front of the APG headquarters, a rally of supporters of governor Evghenia Guţul was held. They chanted against the People's Assembly, as well as against the government of the country. Among the protesters were many elderly citizens and minors.
