Ambulance doctors to receive cooler bags provided by IOM

Chisinau, Aug. 7 /MOLDPRES/- All 263 emergency medical assistance teams in the country will receive portable cooling bags and flexible cooling elements of a unified model that will ensure the compliant transportation of heat-labile pharmaceutical products and biological preparations. The equipment worth 27,500 euros was provided by the mission of the International Organization for Migration /IOM/, with the financial support of the European Union.

The event of handing over the 300 portable cooler bags and 600 flexible cooling elements took place today in the capital.

According to the management of the National Center for Emergency Medical Care, the valuable donation represents a continuation of the collaboration with IOM Moldova, which supports the strengthening of the intervention capacities of the Emergency Medical Care Service, by equipping it with equipment of critical importance.

According to statistics, from the beginning of the war in Ukraine until now, AMU teams have served more than 15 thousand requests from refugees.
