Moldovan electoral body published list of parties entitled to participate in general local elections

Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) published today the list of parties that have the right to participate in the general local elections scheduled for November 5.

According to the CEC, there are 60 political parties registered by the Public Services Agency.

In accordance with the provisions of the electoral legislation, the right to nominate candidates for the elections belongs to the registered political parties until the date of the elections is established.

The local general elections will be held on November 5 this year. 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors will be elected.
