Moldovan president meets Latvian envoy

Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today welcomed Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia H.E. Uldis Mikuts, who is ending his diplomatic mission to Moldova.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state appreciated the good friendly relations between our countries and thanked the diplomat for the effort made in boosting bilateral cooperation.

Maia Sandu said that the visits of the first Latvian officials contribute to strengthening the relations between our states and represent an important signal of support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

Also, the president thanked that the Latvian government prioritizes, over the years, the Republic of Moldova in granting its external assistance for development.
