Over 36 million lei invested in July in modernization of agricultural businesses

Chisinau, August 11 /MOLDPRES/- During this July, over 32 farmers benefited from support from the Agency for Development and Modernization of Agriculture (ADMA) to modernize their businesses. Investments of over 36 million lei (1.8 million euros) were made, of which about 20 million lei was the contribution of ADMA.

For one month, investments were made in the renewable energy for farmers, two photovoltaic installations with a power of 200kW were put into operation. Beneficiaries will also receive grants of up to 200 thousand lei, through the USAID Moldova's Future Technologies Activity.

Other agricultural companies have obtained funding from ADMA for the procurement of business digitization equipment. Farmers were helped to access grants available within Moldova's Future Technologies Activity. They exceed one million lei.

ADMA is a public institution under the competence of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. Its purpose is to facilitate farmers' access to modern agricultural techniques and equipment through sale and purchase, including in installments, to ensure the growth of competitive agri-food production and the development of solutions for the modernization of agriculture, by providing consultancy and expertise, training and assistance in business planning in the agrifood.
