Third attempt to invest Executive Committee failed in Comrat

Chisinau, August 11 /MOLDPRES/- The third attempt to inaugurate the Executive Committee proposed by governor Evghenia Guțul failed today. The President of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia, Dmitrii Constantinov, announced that he had interrupted the meeting.

In late July, the People's Assembly of Gagauzia refused to put the approval of Evghenia Guțul's Executive Committee team on the agenda. Then, the deputies from the autonomy claimed that the candidates proposed by the new governor were not from the region and did not know the language.

The last attempt to invest the Executive Committee took place in early August and ended in scandal. Then seven of the candidates previously nominated by the new governor failed the Gagauz language test.

At every attempt to elect the Executive Committee, protests took place in front of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia. The supporters of the new governor even demanded the dissolution of the Assembly.
