Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- Standing bureau is to consider on Wednesday a request to convene the Parliament in an extraordinary session on August 16-17.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the initiative to convene the Parliament in an extraordinary session is motivated by the need to examine draft normative acts of socio-economic and political importance for the Republic of Moldova, presented by the Government to be debated as a matter of priority.
"Speaker Igor Grosu's request submitted to the standing bureau reads the need to consider legislative initiatives of the deputies, which regulate the energy efficiency, the cadastral field, the social system reform".
The draft agenda for the extraordinary session of the Parliament is to be approved by the standing bureau.
According to the Parliament Regulations, if the Legislature is not in ordinary session, it can meet in extraordinary or special sessions, upon the request of the head of state, the speaker or one third of the deputies.
