Meeting of ambassadors of Moldova to be held in Chisinau

Chisinau, August 15 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration organizes a meeting of the ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova on August 16-17.

According to the MAEIE, the meeting will be inaugurated by President Maia Sandu and Deputy Prime Minister, Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.

The event aims at considering issues related to the implementation of the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova and setting new tasks and priorities in the short and medium term, assessing the activity of diplomatic missions and increasing efficiency. Issues related to the evolution of international relations of the last period will be examined, including the progress of the Republic of Moldova in joining the European Union.

A priority on the agenda is also the problems faced by the diaspora, the ways to provide social protection to Moldovan citizens abroad. The heads of diplomatic missions will participate in Diaspora Day and Diaspora Business Forum.

The agenda of the event also includes meetings of the heads of missions with President Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and other heads of state institutions.
