Moldovan sportspeople win medals at WAKO European Championships

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - Sportsmen from Moldova have won six golden medals, six silver ones and three bronze medals at the WAKO European Championships for children, cadets and juniors.

According to the Education and Culture Ministry, sportspeople Eduard Cincilei, Dan Stoian, Liubovi Fillipov, Dmitrii Venger, Chiril Saprighin and Daniil Maximenco ranked first. Evelina Bojoc, Patric Petranici, Stanislav Sirbu, Ion Cotur, Alexadr Bordian and Ilia Hanchevici were on the second position. Ivan Raischi, Igor Cherdivar and Alexei Cilei ranked third.

The sportspeople were guided by coaches Ruslan Costiuc, Serghei Sedoi, Radu Pahom, Piotr Coltuc, Ruslan Metachi and Igor Baibara.

The WAKO European Championships for children, cadets and juniors was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on 25 August – 2 September. Twenty four sportspeople represented Moldova at the competition.
