Forty five entrepreneurs of Moldova to receive grants worth up to two million lei to develop businesses

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 45 entrepreneurs from Moldova will benefit from grants worth up to 2 million lei each (100,000 euros) for the development, modernization, digitalization or internationalization of businesses. The investment projects were approved by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA).  

The overall sum of grants is of about 22 million lei. They are provided from the state budget, the European Union and the World Bank.  

Twenty four out of the overall number of beneficiaries work in the rural environment and 21 work in the urban area. Seven out of these businesses are managed by young people and 20 – by women. The economic agents will access non-refundable financing through the state programmes, Programme on the Attraction of Remittances to the Economy (PARE 1+2), Digital Transformation, Ecologization of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), the programme on enhancement of the competitiveness at export and SMEs’ internationalization and Refurbishment and Energy Efficiency.  

The investments due to be made will be directed for the purchasing of advanced equipment, installations for turning to account of alternative energy sources, market research services, services for the elaboration of the design for stands and promotion materials for participation in international exhibitions, software for the digitalization of the production process, business promotion services, services of certification, consultancy in preparing the team for export and sales.

ODA continuously receives investment projects for accessing non-refundable support, without establishing an exact period in this respect.
