Moldovan president meets King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has met His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.

According to the presidential press service, the discussion was focused on the good bilateral relations, the process of accession to EU and the support the Dutch partners provide Moldova in more sectors.

„I discussed with King Willem-Alexander also the deepening of the economic relations and the increase in the commercial exchanges. We are interested in cooperating in the agro-food sector. I also discussed with His Majesty the security risks from our region, as well as the actions we undertake, in order to enhance the country’s resilience. The European Union is a project of peace and democracy; therefore, we want to be part of this project,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
