DOC Moldovan president awards distinctions to defence minister, more military, civilian employees of institution

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Maia Sandu has awarded Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii the Credință Patriei (Faithfulness to Motherland) Order, class II. The head of state signed a decree to this effect on 1 September, published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) today.
Under the decree, the distinction was awarded to the defence minister ‘’as a token of deep appreciation of the merits in the consolidation of the national defence system, for substantial contribution to the development of the state’s policy on the segment of the social protection of servicemen, Armed Forces’ and war veterans, as well as to the strengthening of the cooperation between Moldova and other states and international organizations in the defence sector.’’
At the same time, Maia Sandu awarded state distinctions also to military and civilian employees of the Defence Ministry, ‘’as a token of appreciation of the merits in maintaining a high degree of combat readiness of the military units and subunits,’’ as well as for the ‘’irreproachable fulfilment of the job duty and contribution to the development of the national defence system.’’
Thus, the Faithfulness to Motherland Order, class I, was awarded to colonel Sergiu Vicol, Faithfulness to Motherland Order, class II – to lieutenant colonel Andrei Corcimit, and Faithfulness to Motherland Order, class III – to major Sergiu Zabolotnii, etc. .
The decrees issued by the Moldovan president entered into force on the date of their signing.
