Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - The People’s Assembly (APG, local parliament) of the Gagauz-Yeri Autonomous Territorial Unit failed to approve the nominal composition of the autonomy’s executive body at a today’s meeting.
This time, the issue on the nominal composition of the region’s executive body was excluded from the agenda at an initiative by bashkan (governor) Evghenia Gutul.
Gutul demanded the postponing of the discussion of this subject and asked for time to update the earlier proposed list. ‘’We need time to look for candidates instead of those who did not pass the exam of the linguistic commission for the knowledge of the Gagauz language. We will endeavor to come up with a new proposal in due time,’’ the bashkan said.
Also, Gutul said that she had had submitted an approach to Moldova’s government, in order to be admitted to the cabinet of ministers and gave assurances that she ‘’is ready for dialogue.’’
