Over 14,600 people call ambulance in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 14,628 people called the ambulance last week and 5,761 patients were carried to hospital.
According to National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP), the ambulance was called for patients for the following reasons: 2,646 cardiovascular diseases, of which 24 cases with acute coronary syndrome; 2,035 neurological problems, of which 214 cerebral vascular accidents; 1,854 respiratory problems and 1,492 traumatology problems.
During the last week, the ambulance’s intervention was requested in the case of 310 calls for reasons of infectious emergencies. At the same time, 103 calls were for reasons of emergencies triggered by physical, chemical and environmental emergencies, of which 63 animal bites or stings of insects, 34 combustions and 3 caloric syncopes. Another nine people showed acute allergic reactions to various etiologies.
Also during the last week, Medical Emergency Assistance teams were called in the case of 77 traffic accidents, in the wake of which 97 people suffered, of whom 10 children.
