Moldovan policeman use drone to monitor drivers in road traffic

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - The National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP) uses a drone for monitoring the road traffic, for the observance by drivers of the road traffic rules.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Silvia Vetcu, said that there was presently only one drone used at INSP.

„The monitoring with the help of the drone is a new and efficient way of supervising the traffic and detecting the infringements committed by some participants in the traffic,’’ the quoted source noted.

The use of the drone would be necessary, in order not to allow infringements on behalf of drivers, so as to prevent traffic accidents and contraventions.
