Traffic accident with involvement of Moldovan police employee results in one person dead

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - An employee of the Fulger Special Police Brigade aged 30 years ran into a pedestrian moving on the Hancesti-Cimislia highway on 5 September evening.  

According to the National Police, the accident occurred at the exit from the Bozieni village at about 21:00, with the pedestrian hit on the roadway. In the wake of the injures got, the victim, a man with age between 45 and 50 years, was taken over by an ambulance called on the spot, but he died on the way to hospital.   

The police employee made the test for the content of alcohol in blood and the result was negative. The policeman was at the wheel of his private car, BMW X5, outside the job time. He was detained for 72 hours and law-enforcers opened a criminal file, in order to elucidate all circumstances of the occurring of the tragedy.

Yet, the victim has not been identified so far. The Fulger employee has been working in police for ten years.  

At least three cases of traffic accidents with the involvement of law-enforcers have been registered in the last time. Citizens suffered in the wake of these cases and in some situations, the National Police employees were driving drunk.
