Water main to be constructed in central Hancesti district of Moldova

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - A water main due to supply with water the settlements Sarata Razesi – Voinescu – Mingir will be constructed in the central Hancesti district. The Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru), under the aegis of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, has signed a contract on financing for this project.
Thus, more than 7,300 residents of the villages Voinescu and Mingir, 36 economic agents and nine public institutions from the Hancesti district will have improved access to the source of qualitative drinking water.
Within the project, the Voinescu mayoralty got financing from the National Fund of Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) for the construction of the water main, which will connect the Voinescu and Mingir villages to the drinking water source. ‘’The works will include the construction of 12 km of water main networks and two stations for water’s disinfection. With an overall value of 18, 326, 836.44 lei (over 900,000 euros), the project will be carried out during the next two years,’’ ADR Centru said.
The project will use the water supply source from the water main Leova-Iargara, through the feed pipe Leova-Tomai, known by its performance in the collection, treatment and carriage of drinking water from the Prut river.
