Moldovagaz company receives findings of audit of historical debt to Gazprom giant

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovagaz company today morning received the findings of the audit of the historical debt of the company to the Gazprom Public Joint Stock Company. The enterprise informed that, for the time being, it cannot give its opinion on the findings, conclusions and assessments from the document. The reaction of Moldovagaz comes after Energy Minister Victor Parlicov today made public the findings of the audit.    

According to a press release submitted to media, Moldovagaz finds out that the company is not subject of the concerned audit. ‘’Its object represent the economic and financial activities and the historical debt to the external provider of natural gas. At the same time, within the audit, the company delivered to the Public Property Agency (APP) all information demanded according to principles of confidentiality,’’ Moldovagaz specified.

The company noted that this audit report was to be coordinated beforehand with the company’ corporate leadership bodies and namely the Council of Observers of the Moldovagaz stock company.

Energy Minister Victor Parlicov today unveiled the findings of the audit of Moldovagaz historical debts. According to the audit, the debt of Moldovagaz to Gazprom for the gas consumed on the right bank of Dniester is of 709 million dollars. The minister noted that a great part of the debts’ sum was not confirmed through documents or had expired and was not executable.
