Main runway of Chisinau International Airport rehabilitated

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - The main runway of the Chisinau International Airport has been rehabilitated. The works lasted two months and cost three million lei (150 million euros).
The main runway of the Airport has a length of 3,590 metres and a width of 45 metres. It was constructed in 1987 and has never been capitally repaired and for this reason, fissures and irregularities in the level of the runway appeared on certain segments.
The money needed for the rehabilitation of the Airport’s runway was allocated from the enterprise’s budget.
The works of current repair and maintenance of the main takeoff and landing runway 08/26 of the International Airport started on 4 July 2023.
