Moldovan parliament convenes at first plenary meeting of autumn session

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament convenes at the first plenary meeting of the 2023 spring session on 7 September. The standing bureau approved the plenary meeting’s agenda at a meeting today.   

According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the MPs will consider, in the first reading, the draft law on the labelling of products with energy impact and the legislative initiative due to facilitate the development of energy infrastructure projects. The parliament is also to declare the works on construction of the road R 34.4 Leova – border with Romania and the border crossing point, with the infrastructure related, as public utility of national interest. The agenda of the meeting also includes the legislative amendments aimed at improving the taxi services and the amendment of the code on science and innovation. The MPs will also consider the legislative initiatives on the providing of fiscal and customs facility for some projects.

At the same time, the parliament is to examine the draft decisions on the appointment to office of members of the Superior Council of Magistracy and the ceasing of the capacity of the member and deputy head of the administrative board of the National Commission of Financial Market.

The plenary meeting will start on 7 September at 11:00. Under the parliament’s regulation, the legislative body holds two ordinary sessions per year. The summer session starts in February and cannot exceed the end of July. The autumn session starts in September and cannot exceed the end of December.
