Moldovan policemen carry out actions on informing children, parents about safety in education, social environments

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen carry out actions of informing children and parents about the safety in the education and social environments. This measure traditionally takes place in the beginning of the school year.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Oxana Toderita, said that, within the action, law-enforcers present to pupils the state institutions which support children victims. ‘’It is important that they know where they can appeal and what state bodies they can notify, if needed. At the same time, during informative classes, policemen will speak to children about the violence, safety in the online environment, criminal behavior, school dropout and leaving the home. Also, children are informed that, if necessary, they can call the phone of the child: 116111,’’ Oxana Toderita said.  

Also, the IGP employees will speak with children about the safety measures when they are alone at home, when they discuss with alien people in the street or online, when they go to agglomerated places, as well as when crossing the street.

At the same time, the law-enforcers came up with recommendations for parents as well. On safety purpose, they urged parents to make the children know the home address and the phone number of the parents.   

The informing action is annually held in more settlements of Moldova in September.
