Deputy PM has meeting with head of office of United Nations resident coordinator in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian today had a meeting with the head of the office of the resident coordinator of the United Nations Organization (UNO) in Moldova, Laura Fiorotto, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials reviewed the assistance projects implemented with the support of UN in Moldova, in particular, aimed at consolidating the protection of human rights all over the country and diminishing the humanitarian crisis.

During the discussions, the sides tackled the general situation as to the process of Transnistrian settlement and the priority sectors of intervention for improving the quality of life of the residents from the two banks of Dniester.

The deputy PM for reintegration welcomed the intention to carry out projects on development/support in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, with highlighting the need of coordinating the procedures and measures needed with the national competent authorities, including the Reintegration Policies Bureau.
