Deputy Prime Minister pays working visits to Portugal, Italy

Chisinau, 11 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- On September 11-15, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) Nicu Popescu pays two working visits to Lisbon, Portugal and Rome, Italy to deepen the bilateral dialogue, discuss the European agenda and boost the accession process of our country to the EU.

In Lisbon, the official will have meetings with his Portuguese counterpart João Gomes Cravinho, as well as with other high-ranking officials. Cooperation Memorandum between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and that of the Portuguese Republic will be signed.

"In Rome, I will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Mr. Antonio Tajani, and I will participate in the hearings during the joint meeting of the Committees on Foreign Affairs of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies", Popescu said.

On September 14, the official will have a meeting with our diaspora from Italy, at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Rome, starting at 6:00 p.m.
