Participants with best results at Great National Dictation awarded

Chisinau, 12 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The participants in the Great National Dictation, who achieved the best results, were awarded today in Chisinau, during an event organized by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).
Thus, five people obtained the grade "10" in dictation and were awarded with vouchers worth 2,500 lei for the purchase of books. The five winners are Cebanu Natalia, pedagogy student and educator, Golban Veronica, teacher at the "Lucian Blaga" Theoretical High School in Chisinau, Ungureanu Elena, scientific researcher, Lavric Olivia and Moraru Nina, students.
Another 57 participants scored "9", including nine pupils, nine students, seven teachers and education workers and other professionals in communication, journalism, medicine and others. They were awarded two tickets to the Mihai Eminescu National Theater and two books from the donations offered by the National Library.
Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun said that the Great National Dictation will become a traditional event, because this is a special way to celebrate the Romanian Language Day, marked annually on August 31. "I hope that at next year's edition we will have at least double the number of participants," said Dan Perciun.
More than 450 people participated in the Great National Dictation, held in Chisinau on August 31, on the occasion of the Romanian Language Day. They were proposed to write the essay of Marina Borș, a student at the Faculty of Law of the State University of Moldova, who became the winner of the essay contest on the topic "Why should the Republic of Moldova be part of the European Union?".
