Government decided: More companies of Moldova to receive state aid

Chisinau, 13 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- More companies of Moldova will have access to the support from the state, and its minimum ceiling will increase from 2 to 5 million lei over 3 years. The amendment to the Law on state aid was voted by the government at the proposal of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The national normative framework in the state aid will be adjusted according to the European Union rules, the accession to the community space being one of the 20 priority actions of the Government, announced by Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The increase in the minimum threshold will expand the list of eligible companies, so that even small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to benefit from state aid programs. New investments will be attracted, business development will be encouraged and innovation will be facilitated within the beneficiary companies.
"Companies that will receive state aid, according to the increased de minimis threshold, will be able to invest in research and development, modernize their infrastructure, improve product quality or expand their market presence. Thus, they will be able to compete on the domestic market and expand on international markets", said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba.
The minimis aid is a support measure per beneficiary, regardless of its form and the objective pursued, the total amount of which does not exceed the threshold amount of 5,000,000 lei in a maximum period of 3 years. The total amount of the minimis aid to an enterprise that provides services of general economic interest does not exceed 10,000,000 lei for 3 years, and the total amount of the minimis aid to an enterprise that transports goods on behalf of third parties or for a fee it will not exceed the threshold of 2,700,000 lei for 3 years.
