Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - Candidates for higher degree and master education will be able to submit their contest files in online format starting from 2024. The procedure will be carried out based on a single desk – e-Admitere (e-Admission) information system. The government approved a decision to this effect today.

The new mechanism will simplify the process of admission, will enhance the speed of documents’ processing and will shorten the time of stocking files on paper.

At the cabinet meeting, Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said the system would unify and automate the process of submission of the files on admission to universities and would improve the record of the places financed from budgetary sources.

„E-Admission is a single desk for the electronic submission of the contest files for admission to higher education institutions. The system’s implementation will ensure the unification, standardization and automation of the process of submitting the files and will simplify the procedure for the future students, giving them possibility not to necessarily move to Chisinau, for instance, in order to submit the acts at an institution. Young people will be able to cover this entire procedure in electronic variant, at distance, including by applying for more institutions and only after they are selected at one of the universities, - to physically go and submit the documents,’’ Dan Perciun said.

Twenty one higher education institutions work in Moldova, of which 13 public institutions and 8 – private ones. In Chisinau, there are 17 institutions and one institution in Balti, Comrat, Cahul and Taraclia each.
