Deputy PM meets Ambassador of United Kingdom to Moldova

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today had a working meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Moldova Steven Fisher, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials reviewed the situation in Moldova’s eastern districts and the immediate priorities in the field of the country’s reintegration policies. A special topic of the discussions was the one on the fundamental rights and freedoms in the Transnistrian region.

The deputy PM expressed Chisinau’s firm position on this subject and thanked the British authorities for the constant backing of the cause of the fundamental human rights and the freedom of expression in the Transnistrian region.
