Programme on promotion of entrepreneurship, enhancing competitiveness unveiled to Moldova's business environment

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - The programme on the promotion of entrepreneurship and enhancement of competitiveness (PACC) for the 2023-2027 years was unveiled to the business environment today. The overall cost of the programme for 2023-2025 is estimated at 828 million lei (41.4 million euros), of which about 635 million lei is from the state budget and 193 million lei - from other sources.
The general goal of PACC 2027 is to support the sustainable development of Moldova through improving the business environment and enhancing the entrepreneurial competitiveness for the development of productive, competitive and innovating enterprises.
The authorities are set to achieve more indexes as a result of the Programme’s implementation. Among them, there are removal of at least 20 per cent of all regulations, 25-per cent increase in the number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which benefit from financing alternatives, development of at least ten infrastructure projects and green technologies.
Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba said the Programme backed the authorities’ efforts in the promotion of the entrepreneurship, as well as the digitalization and de-regulation of the entrepreneurial activities. At the same time, „the programme implies the active involvement of the business community in the consultation of draft normative acts with impact on the business environment and the stimulation of investments by small and medium-sized enterprises, including with the support of state programmes,’’ Deputy PM Alaiba said.
The state secretary at the Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry (MDED), Veronica Arpintin, said the Programme was a strategic document on the development of the native entrepreneurship for the next four years, through which the foundations will be laid for a sound climate for the increase and multiplication of the sustainable businesses. ”This governmental programme comes up with considerable improvements of the framework of regulation of the business environment, facilitation of the access to financing and enhancement of the competitiveness of the local products and services, including on external markets, as well as the promotion of the entrepreneurial culture,’’ Veronica Arpintin said.
The programme on the promotion of entrepreneurship and enhancement of competitiveness was approved by the government on 6 September this year.
