Azerbaijan Airlines launched direct flights from Chisinau to Baku

Chisinau, 15 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Azerbaijan Airlines - AZAL launched today for the first time regular direct flights from Chisinau International Airport (AIC) to the city of Baku, Heydar Aliyev Airport.

The flights will be operated with a frequency of twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, with Embraer 190 aircraft.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Moldova Gudsi Osmanov, the head of the sales department of AZAL, Cingiz Mursalov and interim administrative director of Chisinau Airport Constantin Vozian.

In early August, Azerbaijan Airlines - AZAL announced that it will operate regular direct flights from Chisinau to Baku. Also then, two other companies - Southwind Airlines and Israir - announced that they would launch flights from Chisinau.
