Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) today finished its mission of audit in Moldova, which showed an implementation of most norms, the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR) has reported.
ICAO representatives analyzed the aviation sector under more aspects, such as the procedures of control of the access to the airport’s restricted areas, supervision of the security system onboard of airships, verification of documents and equipment of the board staff, cooperation and coordination between various authorities in charge of the aviation security.
„Following the audit, ICAO experts established an implementation of norms of more than 80 per cent, up by 10 per cent than at the previous audit,’’ MIDR said.
„These findings show a high level of aviation security, both for passengers, airships’ crews and for the entire aviation industry; this is also an important message for the companies with which Moldova holds dialogue,’’ Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu said.
