Head of state says each modernized school, each safer road, each more arranged settlement means European Moldova

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today participated in the launch of a bypass road of the Troita Noua village, the repair works on which finished, the presidential press service has reported.
„This segment of 6.4 km, constructed from the scratch, is part of the road which connects the settlement Anenii Noi to Causeni, part of the most important route in the south-eastern region of the country. The bypass road will enhance the safety of the residents from the Troita Noua village and their homes will no longer suffer because of the high-tonnage vehicles,’’ the head of state said.
Also, President Maia Sandu went to Causeni, where she discussed with teachers from the local lyceum. Within the European Village programme, the education institutions from Causeni benefited from almost 12 million lei for improving the conditions in schools and kindergartens. The Moldovan president talked with teachers and school managers the priorities announced by the Education and Research Ministry: promotion of the profession of teacher and enhancement of the its prestige, creation of a national network of at least 1,000 mentors, allocation of resources for the professional training and re-qualification, a better provision with school transport, endowment of education institutions with computers, digital laboratories and other advanced equipment, supply of at least 90 per cent of the education institutions with sanitary units inside.
„Each modernized school, each safer road for people, each more arranged settlement means to be ever closer to our goal – European Moldova,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
