Government launches electronic Book of Condolences, as a token of respect, gratitude for first President of Moldova Mircea Snegur

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s government informs that an electronic Book of Condolences has been opened, as a token of respect and gratitude towards the first President of the Republic of Moldova, Mircea Snegur, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.

President Mircea Snegur, an outstanding personality in the national history, played a central role in the consolidation of the statehood, independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, we invite you to join us in paying a worthy homage to the first President of Moldova.

The Book of Condolences will be accessible on the official website of the government: http://www.gov.md/mesaje. Each citizen is invited to express the sympathy, gratitude and share valuable thoughts and memories related to the mandate of the first President of the Republic of Moldova.

Also, a Book of Condolences is opened at the Palace of the Republic too.

In these moments of national mourning, we should be united in the spirit of solidarity and respect, in order to honour the memory of President Mircea Snegur.
