Ministry of Agriculture launches call for submission of requests for advance subsidies

Chisinau, 18 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Farmers can submit requests for subsidies in advance starting today at the territorial offices of the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA). The call will be open until November 16, 2023.

Advance payments will be granted only on the basis of investment projects, positively evaluated by AIPA. "The state will finance investments for the improvement and development of the rural economic infrastructure; development of the infrastructure of the agricultural holding; diversification of rural economic activities; stimulation of production on protected land; establishment of plantations of fruit, aromatic, medicinal and seasoning shrubs; modernization of livestock holdings; knowledge transfer, innovation and training", indicates the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA).

Eligible for this subsidy measure are micro and small farmers, legal entities or private people carrying out activities in the countryside or agricultural activities, other than the farmer; territorial administrative units; organizations in the research and innovation, educational institutions with an agro-industrial profile.

"All those who intend to launch or develop businesses in the agricultural and rural sector are encouraged to participate," MAIA said.
