Period for submitting documents for registration of candidates for general local elections starts

Chisinau, 18 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Tomorrow begins the period for submitting documents for the registration of candidates for the general local elections on November 5 for second-level constituencies - mayors of Chisinau and Balti municipalities, councilors in Chisinau and Balti municipal councils and district councils.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, political parties and electoral blocs will present a set of documents to the constituency electoral councils. Their list can be found on the commission's official page.

At the same time, in the case of independent candidates, the same requirements are applied, the subscription lists with the sufficient number of signatures of the supporters will be presented. Independent candidates will appear in person at the constituency electoral council and submit the subscription lists together with the necessary documents for registration.

The subscription list forms can also be requested starting from September 19, from the electoral council of the electoral constituency in the territorial area of which the person plans to run.
