Moldovan parliament's delegation to participate in sixth international conference of parliamentary juridical commissions

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Moldova’s parliament will participate in the sixth international conference of parliamentary juridical commissions. The event will be hosted by the Bundestag (parliament) of Germany on 21-22 September.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the participants in the meeting will discuss the challenges and opportunities of the approximation of the legislation of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia to the European Union’s one.
The Moldovan parliament’s delegation is led by the head of the parliament’s juridical commissions for appointments and immunities, Olesea Stamate. The delegation is made up of the members of this commission, representatives of the parliamentary majority and the opposition, MPs Adrian Lebedinschi and Vasile Gradinaru, as well as the secretary of the parliament’s commission for foreign relations and European integration, Alina Dandara.
According to the organizers, the participants in the event will present the best practices, in the context of the implementation of the recommendations formulated by the European Commission, after Ukraine and Moldova received the status of country candidate for accession to the European Union. In particular, they will refer to the notifications and recommendations for the juridical reforms necessary.
The conference will be divided into different topic-related blocks, depending on the notifications of the European Union on the applications on accession by Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia. Also, the participants in the event will discuss the parliamentary law, civil society, combating and prevention of corruption and independence of the judicial system.
The spending for transport and accommodation will be covered by the event’s organizers, the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ).
