Moldovan speaker attends events in Calarasi

Chisinau, 20 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu participated together with the residents of the village of Vărzăreștii Noi, Călărași district, in the events on the locality's event, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

He congratulated the residents, who celebrated today 498 years since the first documentary attestation of the locality. "I wish you peace, because when there is peace, you can achieve beautiful things. I wish you good health, because when you are healthy, you can work", he said.

Grosu noted that when there is peace and health, beautiful projects can be carried out for people and their locality. "In every village, people must benefit from decent living conditions, with access to water, sewage, roads, kindergartens, etc. Through the European Express Village Program, in Vărzărești Noi, the project on the public street lighting system has already been completed, other important projects are to come", he said.

On this occasion, several cultural and sports events took place in Vărzărești Noi.
