Moldovan, British officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 21 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian had a working meeting today with Chris Allen, Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK, accompanied by Steven Fisher, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Chisinau, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.

The main issues of the discussion were related to the Transnistrian cased and regional security, given the Russian Federation's war of aggression against Ukraine. The current stage of the Transnistrian regulation process and the progress made during the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union were considered too.

Oleg Serebrian emphasized the importance of the support offered by Great Britain in achieving the objectives of the Government of Moldova, including in terms of strengthening national security and restoring territorial integrity.
