Prosecutors raided workshop for illegal manufacturing bank card cloning devices

Chisinau, Oct. 4 /MOLDPRES/- PCCOCS prosecutors, jointly with INI officers, arrested two men accused of manufacturing and assembling bank card cloning devices in a workshop in Chisinau.

According to PCCOCS, the devices were illegally installed at ATMs in European states, as a component of the basic bank card insertion device.

10 searches have been recently carried out in Chisinau, including the illegal workshop, homes and cars of the suspects. The law enforcement officers picked up about 100 cards. Hidden video cameras were also taken from the workshop, which would have been installed in the ATM's lighting devices or other parts of it. In addition, computers and over 450 thousand lei were picked up.

The two suspects are over 40 years old and have criminal records.
