Moldovan, European officials approach current issues

Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- In Granada, President Maia Sandu spoke with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, the presidential press service has reported.

"I welcomed the vote given today by the European legislature for the Resolution recommending to the European Commission the opening of accession negotiations for the Republic of Moldova by the end of the year," said Maia Sandu.

The head of state thanked the European Parliament for this strong signal of confidence, which proves that Moldova takes its accession commitments seriously.

"Moldova deserves to be part of the European family and we are working with great determination to be prepared and become a European state", the president said.
