PHOTO National Day of Ambulance marked in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The National Day of Ambulance is marked in Moldova for the first time ever.

Attending the event dedicated to the holiday was Health Minister Ala Nemerenco, who thanked the employees working on ambulance for the labour they carry out. She noted that new consignments of ambulances and equipment would be soon brought to Moldova.

„We established this day not only to show you gratitude, but also to educate, among residents, the respect for the work of the physicians and for educating, among the drivers, the capacity to yield the right of way to ambulances,’’ the minister said.

Nemerenco specified that a training centre would be soon opened for the employees of the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre (CNAMUP).

The ministry’s leadership congratulated those over 5,600 CNAMUP employees.
