Chisinau, 10 October /MOLDPRES/ - Director of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) Iulian Rusu has resigned from office. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu made statements to this effect, noting that he had taken note of the application on resignation.
The speaker thanked Iulian Rusu for effort. ‘’I have taken note of the application on resignation by CNA director Iulian Rusu, which I received today. We thank Mr. Rusu fore effort,’’ Igor Grosu specified.
At the same time, the parliament speaker stressed that a proposal on appointing a new CNA director would be put forward soon. ‘’The expectations of the parliament and the entire society from CNA are quite clear: increasing the speed with which the corruption acts are investigated, ceasing the illegal financial flows, ensuring the institution’s integrity through accelerating the reformation of the National Anticorruption Centre and cleaning the institution from noxious practices and people,’’ Igor Grosu noted.
Iulian Rusu was appointed to the CNA director in February 2022.
