Moldovan president meets Czech PM, other officials

Chisinau, Oct. 17 /MOLDPRES/- On an official visit to the Czech Republic, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu discussed with Prime Minister Petr Fiala, President of the Senate Miloš Vystrčil and President of the Chamber of Deputies Markéta Pekarová Adamová, the presidential press service has reported.

"I saw a great openness towards the Republic of Moldova and admiration for the determination that Moldovans fight for democracy. Czech partners support us in the transformation of the country, they finance projects that directly contribute to raising the living standards of our citizens, they support our aspirations to join the European Union", the official said.

In Prague, Maia Sandu discussed how bilateral economic cooperation can be increased, how more Czech investors can be attracted to the Republic of Moldova and develop joint projects in the energy sector, with a special focus on renewable energy.
