Moldovan, French officials address current issues

Chisinau, Oct. 18 /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of Moldova Support Platform held in Chisinau, President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France. Along with Romania and Germany, France launched the Moldova Support Platform to mobilize immediate assistance for Moldova at the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, the presidential press service has reported.

"Moldova and Moldovans are deeply grateful for France's constant support over the years. The help you are offering us is a manifestation of your solidarity and proof that we are part of the great European family", said Maia Sandu.

The head of state welcomed the new French assistance, announced at the event, meant to contribute to the continuous transformation of the country and the improvement of the living standards of Moldovans.
